Here I provide a "leadership survival kit," in five key behaviors leaders can take to manage the extraordinary psychological stresses resulting directly or indirectly from this rapidly spreading virus:

There’s mystery in psychology that has always intrigued me. There’s understanding in psychology that continues to motivate me.Clearly, by our personal and intimate senses and reason, we are all unique and know ourselves better than we know others. But we’re not independent and we don’t know ourselves as “clearly” as we think. We adhere in degree to predictable, even if objectively biased, patterns of thinking, feeling and behaving. And these patterns are becoming more and more predictable and influenceable through advances in psychological study and practice.I went into psychology because of my desire to help others think, feel and act better. I focus on industrial organizational psychology because of the pivotal role work plays in our lives. When I help people perform better at work, I know that the benefits extend far beyond “the shop.”Knowing this is my great personal reward.
